Hardware Management Functions

The reference pages in this section describe functions for physical hardware management. The hypervisor does not manage or control all hardware in a computer. Rather, the hypervisor manages a small subset of core hardware facilities--just enough to enforce isolation guarantees. In some cases, the hypervisor delegates hardware management responsibilities to the root partition.
