State Not Saved by the Hypervisor
In general, state that is explicitly managed and set by the parent partition is not saved by the hypervisor. Code that runs in the parent partition should save and restore this information.
Information that is not saved by the hypervisor includes:

-
Partition properties
-
Scheduling policy settings and affinities
-
Partition ID or parent ID
-
GPA mappings and access rights
-
Contents of pages
-
Intercepts
-
Memory pool balance
-
Ports and connections
-
Partition state
-
Default CPUID return values
-
Partition statistics
-
Monitor notification context
